Whether it’s one shirt with a name on the back or a full squad of 22 numbered from 1 to 22, we print football shirts properly — the kind of printing that survives a season of Sunday-league mud and a washing machine that has never once been set to 30°C.

Quick answer

CentralCustom prints names, squad numbers, club badges and sponsor logos onto football shirts and full team kits across the UK. There is no minimum order, so a single shirt is as welcome as a 30-player squad. You send us your artwork and squad list, we send back a free digital proof, and once you approve it your kit is typically dispatched within 7–14 working days.

What we print onto football shirts

  • Squad numbers — front, back or both, in the size and font your league allows
  • Player names — straight or curved above the number, plus initials where names run long
  • Club badges — printed or embroidered, matched to your club colours
  • Sponsor logos — chest, sleeve or back-of-shirt placements
  • Captain, manager and coach detailing — the small stuff that makes a squad look like a squad

We can print onto shirts you already own or supply the blank kit as well. If you need the full package — shirts, shorts, socks, keeper kit — start on our custom football team kits page instead and we will quote the whole lot together.

Why clubs choose CentralCustom

No minimum order. One shirt for a birthday, or 40 for a new-look first team. Both are normal here.

A free digital proof, every time. You see exactly how the name, number and badge will sit before anything is pressed. Nothing goes to production until you say yes.

Your setup is kept on file. Sign a new player in January and we reprint from the same artwork — no re-setup, no colour drift between your first order and your fourth.

The right method for the garment. Football shirts are usually technical polyester, which behaves very differently to cotton. We choose between heat-applied vinyl, transfer printing, sublimation and embroidery based on the fabric in front of us, not on whatever machine is free. Our garment printing and dye sublimation pages explain the difference in more detail.

A quote within one working day. Send the squad list and we will come back with a price, not a “someone will be in touch”.

Who this suits

  • Grassroots and Sunday-league clubs kitting out a first team, reserves and youth sides
  • Junior and academy sides where names and numbers change every season
  • Schools and colleges needing house or year-group football kit
  • Corporate and charity teams playing a one-off tournament
  • Individuals wanting a name and number on a shirt as a gift

Playing something other than football? We cover teamwear across every sport, and our training wear and club tracksuits range covers the other five days of the week.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to get a football shirt printed?

Price depends on how many shirts, how many elements (name, number, badge, sponsor) and which method suits the fabric. Per-shirt cost drops sharply with squad-sized orders because setup is spread across the run. Send us your numbers and we will quote it properly within one working day.

Can you print onto shirts I already have?

Usually, yes. Send us the details of the garment — brand, fabric and colour — and we will confirm before you post anything. Some technical fabrics and printed panels limit what can be applied cleanly, and we would rather tell you that up front than ruin your kit.

Do you have a minimum order?

No. One shirt is fine.

How long does football shirt printing take?

Typically 7–14 working days from the moment you approve your digital proof. Tell us your first fixture date when you enquire and we will be straight with you about whether it is achievable.

What artwork do you need for a club badge or sponsor logo?

A vector file (AI, EPS or PDF) gives the sharpest result. If all you have is a photo of the badge, send it anyway — we can usually redraw it. Our logo preparation guide covers what makes a file print-ready.

Can you match our exact club colours?

In most cases, yes. Give us the colour references you use elsewhere and we will match as closely as the chosen print method allows — we will flag it on your proof if a shade cannot be hit exactly.
