Screen printing is the go-to method for putting a bold, long-lasting design on clothing in bulk — and it is what makes custom t-shirts, hoodies and workwear look sharp wash after wash. At CentralCustom we screen print for schools, sports clubs, businesses and events right across the UK, turning your logo or artwork into kit your team will actually want to wear. Send us your design, tell us your quantity, and we will handle the rest.

Why choose CentralCustom for screen printing

Screen printing rewards experience, and we have plenty of it. Every job is set up by people who know how ink behaves on different fabrics, so your colours stay true and your print stays put.

  • Built to last. Screen printed ink is cured into the fabric, so designs survive repeated washing without cracking or fading — ideal for kit and workwear that gets used hard.
  • Sharp, vivid colour. Solid blocks of colour and clean edges look far better with screen printing than with most other methods, especially on darker garments.
  • Better value in bulk. Once the screens are made, printing more units costs very little — so the more you order, the lower your price per garment.
  • UK-based and responsive. You deal with a real team who answer questions quickly, check your artwork before printing, and keep you posted on timings.
  • One supplier for everything. Need embroidery on some items and print on others? We do both in-house, so your whole order stays consistent and on schedule.

Who screen printing is for

Screen printing suits almost anyone who needs the same design across a run of garments. It comes into its own when you want strong colour and durability at a sensible price.

  • Sports and social clubs printing matchday t-shirts, tour tops, warm-ups and supporters' wear.
  • Schools, colleges and universities ordering leavers t-shirts, event tees, society kit and PE tops.
  • Businesses kitting out staff in branded t-shirts, hoodies and promotional wear for shows and open days.
  • Events, charities and fundraisers producing volunteer tees, race shirts and giveaway clothing in volume.
  • Stag dos, hen dos and reunions wanting a fun one-off design across the whole group.

Screen printing FAQs

What is the minimum order for screen printing?

Screen printing is most cost-effective in batches because of the initial screen setup. It works best from around 10 garments upwards. For very small numbers, we may suggest an alternative print method — just ask and we will advise honestly.

How many colours can you print?

We can print single-colour logos right through to detailed multi-colour designs. Each colour is printed separately, so simpler designs are cheaper. Send your artwork and we will tell you exactly what it involves.

What garments can be screen printed?

T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, polos, tote bags and much more. Different fabrics take ink differently, so we will recommend the best garment for a crisp result.

Do you check my artwork before printing?

Always. We review every design for size, placement and print-readiness before anything goes to the press, and we will flag anything that needs adjusting.

How long does an order take?

Turnaround depends on quantity and the current schedule, but we will confirm a realistic lead time when we quote so you can plan around deadlines.
