Which cap style should you choose?
The style of cap decides how your logo sits, how well it wears and what it costs to decorate. These are the six we embroider most often.
- Structured baseball cap. A stiffened front panel holds its shape, which keeps stitching flat and square. The safest choice for a detailed crest or a logo with fine text, and the usual pick for staff and club caps.
- Unstructured or dad cap. Softer, lower profile and more relaxed to wear. Good for merchandise and events, but the front panel moves, so keep the design simple and avoid very fine detail.
- Five-panel cap. Some five-panel styles carry a seam down the centre front. A centred logo then has to sit either side of it, so check the blank before you settle on a design.
- Snapback. Flat peak, plastic adjuster, usually structured. It gives you the largest usable front area of any cap, which suits a bold single-colour wordmark.
- Trucker cap. Foam front, mesh back. The foam takes embroidery well and the mesh keeps it cool, so it works for outdoor teams and summer events.
- Beanie. Knitted, and it stretches. Embroidery goes onto the doubled cuff rather than straight onto an open knit, and designs need to stay small and simple.

Is there a minimum order?
Minimums are low and flexible. Tell us your quantities when you request a quote and we'll confirm pricing — per-cap costs come down as quantities go up.
How much do embroidered caps cost?
Price depends on the cap style, your quantity and the size and stitch count of your logo. New logos need a one-off digitising fee (typically £25–50) to convert your artwork into a stitch file; after that the same file can be reused on future orders at no extra charge.
What artwork do you need?
Vector files (AI, EPS or SVG) are ideal, but we also accept high-resolution PNG or PDF at 300dpi. Simple logos with solid colours embroider best; very fine detail or gradients may need slight simplification, and we'll always advise before we run anything.
How long does it take?
Typical turnaround is 7–14 working days after you approve your proof. If you have an event deadline, let us know and we'll do our best to work to it.
Can you match my exact brand colours?

Can you embroider onto a beanie?
Yes. On a ribbed or turn-up beanie the embroidery normally goes onto the cuff, where the knit is doubled and stable. On a looser knit we would usually recommend an embroidered patch applied to the cuff instead, because an open knit lets stitches sink. We will tell you which applies to the beanie you have chosen.
How big can a logo be on a cap?
The usable front panel on a standard adult baseball cap is roughly 10cm wide and 5cm tall, and less again on an unstructured or five-panel style. That is smaller than most people expect, so a logo carrying a strapline or small text often needs simplifying. We raise this at proof stage rather than after it has been stitched.
Can you embroider the side or back of a cap?
Yes. Side panels and the back strap area both work well for a secondary mark, an initial or a website address. Each extra position is a separate embroidery run, so it adds to the cost. A common choice is the main logo on the front and a small initial on one side.
